Summer Program

The Hillside School Summer Skills Program provides intensive, research-based academic interventions for students with language-based learning differences. Each student receives three targeted intervention sessions daily in reading, mathematics, and writing, delivered in small groups by expert educators. When not in intervention sessions, students engage in whole-group enrichment activities including STEAM projects, creative arts, themed exploration, and gross motor development.

Our program maintains the individualized, multi-sensory approach that defines Hillside's educational philosophy while creating an engaging summer environment where students build skills, confidence, and friendships.

Program Sessions

Two Sessions:

Session #1: June 15th-June 25th, 2026

Session #2: July 20th-July 30th, 2026

What Makes Hillside Unique?

Small Group Instruction: Tailored lessons with plenty of individualized attention.

Experienced Educators: Skilled in research-based, multi-sensory teaching methods.

Integrated Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Activities designed to promote self-confidence and growth.

Progress Tracking: Weekly updates to keep you informed about your child’s achievements.

Academic Intervention & Eligibility

Each student receives three targeted 40-minute intervention sessions daily in small groups of 3-5 students. Our expert educators provide research-based, multi-sensory instruction with individualized goals tailored to each student's learning profile and needs.

Academic Focus

Both sessions provide intensive intervention across all three academic areas: reading/literacy, mathematics, and writing/executive functioning. Students will have clearly defined goals focused on their specific areas of need so our educators can provide intentional, targeted support. For students enrolled in both sessions, we will revisit and reassess their individualized goals at the start of Session 2, adjusting and setting new targets as needed to ensure steady progress and continued skill growth throughout the summer.

“My kids came home in good moods talking about their day and were excited to return. Staff communication was great! Hearing not 1 but both kiddos share that they felt comfortable and supported gave me happy tears, but truly seeing them shine in their own unique ways at home or out after having a day at Hillside made my mom heart feeling so blessed beyond words. I am so thankful they were both able to attend your program. We cannot thank hillside enough!”
