The mission of The Hillside School is to maximize the potential of the child with learning disabilities through excellence in education. Our mission defines who we are and supports our dedication to professional training, research based materials, and updated technologies.
The Hillside School offers the opportunity for the elementary aged child to have a successful learning experience building skills that will last a lifetime. Each day promises the excitement that comes with real learning and growth of the “whole” child. Each year brings changes to our student body as we return approximately a third of our students to mainstream classrooms. Children come to The Hillside School to find a better way to learn, instruction that works for them. Every year we take great pride in hearing from our graduated students who are entering high schools, colleges, graduate schools, becoming parents, finding meaningful work and becoming productive adults. Their success is our success.
